My proposal

In my final project, I want to take pictures of various road signs and in turn capture a photo of the sign being enforced... For example, if I took a photo of a "dead end" sign, I would then take a photo of a road ending with woods, perhaps, in the background. I think I can get some neat photos out of this project. I am also looking for more of a darker tone, or perhaps use duotones for most photos.

The picture on the top is the cropped one..obviously. I thought it improved it only because now there is less going on in the picture. Please leave comments and tell me what you think or what you would have done. Thanks!

I choose this photo because it really sticks out more than the others. I am really big on nature photos, and he did a nice job with this one. He did a great job with the contrast from the clouds and the sky. It is also very clear that the subject is the clouds. However, if i were taking this photo, I would have most likely cropped out the landscape underneath the clouds. Just my opinion though.

The power of Still photography

The power of photography cannot always be explained. Some people look at photos differently. Some people just look at a photo and say "it's just a picture, big deal." But there are photos out there that capture history, feelings, and in someways, change people's lives.

Expectations for photo

My expectations for this course are simple. One, I expect to learn more about photography and going more in depth into just taking a simple picture. I want to actually look at a picture and find the meaning of that picture. Although I briefly used photoshop, I want to go more in depth with the program, because in all honesty, I suck at it. And last but not least, I expect to have fun.
